The faculty of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism are committed to educating future leaders in the specialty of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
The faculty are nationally and internationally recognized for their many accomplishments in medical education, basic and clinical research, patient care, and community service.
The extensive scope of our faculty's research interests straddles the spectrum from molecular genetics, proteomics and metabolomics to cutting-edge clinical investigation in the areas of diabetes, obesity, and endocrine/metabolic disorders.
The division is active in educational programs and research mentorship within the College of Medicine. Our flagship Endocrinology Pathophysiology Course for 2nd year medical students has been a running success for the past decade.
We are also a strong supporter of local, regional, and national programs of the Southern Society of Clinical Investigation, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
