Meet Our Staff
Lyndsay Pittman,
Assistant Vice Chancellor
Lyndsay joined UTHSC in May 2018. An “Okie,” she previously served as registrar at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City. Lyndsay is responsible for the day-to-day operations in the Registrar’s Office, including implementation and interpretation of academic policies, managing the student records database, and implementing new technologies related to process improvement in conjunction with all areas of SAES.
In her free time, Lyndsay enjoys taking her two yellow labs, Annie and Roxie, to Shelby Farms Park. She plays guitar and saxophone and enjoys performing country music. She makes frequent trips to Nashville to see various country music performances.
Lyndsay received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education – Student Personnel from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Paul Bury,
Business Analyst
Paul Bury is the business analyst who is responsible for assessing technological advancements
to automate and improve processes for the student experience within the offices of
the Registrar, Financial Aid and Admissions. His position oversees all aspects of
Enrollment Management business and technology product development and implementation
lifecycle. He has over twenty-five years of technology and product management experience
that has allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of organizational processes
and technologies that implement successful strategies to improve products and services.
The combination of his experiences has prepared him for his role as a business analyst
who can respond quickly to the rapid changes in Enrollment Management and who facilitates
increasingly complex situations and manages multiple priorities concurrently. A native
Tennessee who hails from Washington state, Paul is a veteran of the United States
Air Force where he served as a Computer Technician trained in Secure Telecommunications,
Fiber Optics, LAN, and MAN. He also holds an Associate degree in Computer Programming
and Operations from Clover Park Technical College. Paul is an avid gamer and is affiliated
with several gaming associations, achievements and accolades.
Brittani Schwartz
Administrative Coordinator
Brittani Schwartz began at UTHSC in 2022. As an administrative coordinator, Brittani provides administrative support to the office of enrollment management, as well as maintaining human resources and fiscal procedures. Previously, Brittani maintained and audited the procurement card program at the University of Oklahoma.
Kristi Forman,
Director of Admissions Operations
Kristi Forman is the Director of Admissions Operations. In her position Dr. Forman provides leadership in the UTHSC Office of Admissions, to maintain compliance for admissions processes, ensure accurate and detailed reporting, and upholds admissions policy. During her 15 years of experience in enrollment management, Dr. Forman has dedicated herself to fostering positive relationships and creating efficiencies in admissions processes, leading to a better student experience. Before joining the Office of Admissions, Dr. Forman was the director of Faculty Affairs in the Office of Academic, Faculty, and Student Affairs. Prior to joining UTHSC she was the director of admissions at Christian Brothers University, also having previously held enrollment management positions at Strayer University and Belmont University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Christian Brothers University and a master’s degree in education from Strayer University. She also earned a doctorate in business administration from Wilmington University.

Jailia Mohammed,
Senior Admissions Counselor - College of Nursing
Jailia Mohammed assists and evaluates the qualified students that the college of Nursing has offered admission to at UTHSC, and is the compliance officer ensuring that requirements are met. She advises and communicates with the students and staff daily, building healthy and trusting relationships. Jailia graduated from The Mississippi University for Women in 2017 and was introduced to the unique careers in higher education. She found her passion in being the vessel to help younger generations navigate their journey to a successful college experience. Jailia has five years of experience in admissions with additional cross-training from connecting departments. In 2018 she began her career as an admissions counselor at Rust College, and in 2019 was hired as an admissions counselor at Lane College. In 2021 she became an admissions counselor at UTHSC. Jailia enjoys assisting and serving the students, faculty, and staff as much as possible.
Josh Campbell,
Admissions Operations Coordinator
As an Admissions Coordinator Josh helps students navigate the process from admissions to enrollment. Josh is originally from Tennessee, having been born in Nashville, however he grew up in Florida. Josh has been working in higher education for his entire career. He moved to Memphis over 20 years ago and has been living here ever since. He is passionate about the city of Memphis, more specifically what it can offer to its students.
Kerry Cabrera
Admissions Operations Coordinator
Kerry began working at UTHSC, June 2022. She started as a Compliance Coordinator for student health insurance and moved into her role as an Admissions Operations Coordinator. Currently, Kerry is the Coordinator for the College of Pharmacy and the College of Graduate Health Science. Kerry worked for Memphis Shelby County Schools for 9 years, in the Department of Mental Health, where she did an array of tasks from TN intervention/substance abuse grants, local threat assessment referrals and answering and processing the MSCS Crisis hotline. She has a Master of Health Administration and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
Tenille Holmes
Admissions Operations Coordinator
As an Admissions Operations Coordinator, Tenille Holmes will work with the College of Dentistry and College of Health Professions to ensure a smooth transition for their incoming students, including completing transcript evaluations, managing the receipt of application materials, and monitoring reports for data accuracy. Tenille comes to us from Memphis Shelby County Schools where she worked since 2018 supporting the Mental Health Center as a Clerical Assistant. She brings with her significant customer service and document management experience.

Elizabeth Romagni,
Director of Financial Aid
Elizabeth Romagni has worked in financial aid for almost 30 years. Romagni holds a
bachelor’s in management studies and two master’s in accounting and public administration.
In her career in financial aid, Romagni has worked at Johnson and Wales University,
Southwest Tennessee Community College, and Christian Brother’s University. Customer
service is a top priority for Romagni.
Romagni will maintain compliance for federal, state, and institutional financial aid,
ensure accurate and detailed reporting, and maintaining the integrity of student financial
aid policy.
Nicholas Howze,
Associate Director of Financial Aid Operations and College of Dentistry Counselor
Nicholas Howze is the Associate Director of Financial Aid Operations & COD and is responsible for the day to day operations of the UTHSC Financial Aid Office. Nicholas has 12+ years of experience in the financial aid/higher education industry. He has prior experiences as Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Christian Brothers University and Associate Director of Financial Aid at STCC. A prideful native of Memphis, Nicholas is a driven leader and brings an array of knowledge. An education advocate, he has a strong passion serving and giving back to his community and city. Most recently, he graduated with a Master of Education from Strayer University. Over his career, Nicholas has been recognized as being a reliable, goal-oriented, and extremely hard working professional. In his spare time, he enjoys watching and attending sporting events, music, and mentoring.
Janice Maddox-McKenzie,
Associate Director of Financial Aid Compliance Coordinator of Financial Literacy and
Counselor for College of Graduate Health Sciences
Janice is the financial literacy coordinator and is responsible for the design and implementation of all financial aid, debt management curriculum. Additionally, she is financial aid counselor for the College of Graduate Health Sciences and the College of Dentistry. Janice is driven, focused, and a hard-working strategic leader with 13-plus years of experience and a proven ability to lead strategic operations within fast-paced environments. She has experience in providing financial coaching/counseling to both students and parents, developing streamlined processes, and managing financial programs. Equipped with a keen ability to maintain positive relationships with members of the community in addition to leading special community event.
Originally from Alabama, Janice earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Mississippi University for Women and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. A big football fan, Janice enjoys travel and considers the gym her private sanctuary.
Latoya Franklin,
Financial Aid Counselor - College of Medicine and State Programs
Latoya joined UTHSC in 2018 as the Financial Aid Counselor for the College of Pharmacy and State Programs. She graduated from the University of Memphis and is expected to earn a Master’s in Education in spring 2020. Latoya has been actively working in financial aid for over 19 years. Her responsibilities include counseling students, coordinating state grants and scholarships. When not at work, Latoya enjoys spending time with her two daughters, reading a good book, or binge watching TV shows on Netflix.
Scott Summers,
Registrar
Scott Summers graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Science in Education from Purdue University. Summers has worked in higher education for 30 years. He has worked as an academic advisor at Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College as well at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He then moved into transfer course evaluation and articulation at Eastern Kentucky University, before moving to Memphis as the registrar at Christian Brothers University. Scott is responsible for the integrity of academic records and enrollment verifications, transcripts, state and federal reporting, coordinating class schedules and working with the colleges on their academic calendars.
Erica Fulton,
Associate Registrar
Erica Fulton joined UTHSC December 2019. She previously served as registrar at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where she also worked in the offices of admissions, institutional research, and student information systems over the past 31 years. Erica oversees veterans’ educational benefits, curriculum management through Acalog, compliance, academic calendar updates, new software implementations, and special projects. She is an alumna of Spelman College and Tennessee State University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. In her spare time, Erica loves nature walking, community involvement, meeting new people, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Susan Miller,
Associate Registrar
Susan, Associate Registrar, joined UTHSC in 2018. Originally from Chicago, she has called Memphis home for 30 years. Susan earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Memphis. As the graduation specialist for the Registrar’s Office, she handles all things “graduation,” including degree evaluations, conferrals, and diploma ordering. In addition, she assists with website updates and communications for the office. Outside of work, Susan is a member and committee chair in the LeBonheur Club, a volunteer organization that does promotional work and fundraising for the hospital.
Sylvia Nisar,
Student Services Coordinator
Sylvia Nisar, Student Services Coordinator Sylvia Nisar serves as Student Services Coordinator in the Registrar’s Office, assisting students and Colleges with registration. A native Memphian, she worked for more than a decade at University of Memphis, where she completed a B. A. degree in English in 2003. Sylvia loves to read and watch sports, especially Vols football.
Keshia Pree
Student Services Coordinator
Keshia Pree began her role as Student Services Coordinator on July 10, 2023. Originally from San Diego, Keshia has a bachelor’s degree of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership, and almost a decade of experience in higher education. As a Student Services Coordinator, Keshia assists students, departments, and the Colleges with all aspects of graduation, degree audits, academic progress, and programs of study. Keshia looks forward to helping shape the lives of students and contribute to their future success.
