I've been involved with AMSA since my first year of medical school. The club has taught me more about public health issues and has help me grown as a leader in the UTHSC community. We always have a lot of fun and are passionate about the events we host. I encourage all medical students to join us in the fun!

I love to dance (especially classical ballet!), yoga, cooking, hiking, and spending time with my husband and my three fur babies (two dogs and a cat).

AMSA serves as a way to give back to our community within UTHSC COM as well as the greater Memphis community.

I enjoy playing tennis, baking, listening to new music, and spending time with my family!

I joined AMSA during undergrad at UTK. Both then and now, it has been an invaluable resource for making connections and diving deeper into medicine. It has taught me about public health and leadership, opened up doors for research and service, and it continues to help me grow as a future physician. I encourage every medical student to come experience what AMSA has to offer!

I enjoy gardening, hiking, staying active, and spending time with my four rescue fur babies!

To me, AMSA represents camaraderie between medical students and faculty as well as the importance of a broad, continuing education for those in medicine.

In my spare time, I enjoy painting, drawing, yoga, and trying new restaurants in Memphis.

I've been involved in AMSA for a year. AMSA had helped me honed my leadership skills. I enjoy the volunteer events AMSA hosts throughout the year and they help me become more involved in school.

My hobbies include volleyball, traveling, live music, and having a good time with friends during my free time.

I got involved with AMSA through journal club events as a second year medical student. I enjoy delving more into current events surrounding the medical field and getting to hear different ideas and points of view from my professors and colleagues.

I'm very excited about the community service opportunities we have become involved with recently, and would like to invite any student to come and join us if you're looking for a way to get more involved at UTHSC.

I love being outside, running, swimming, trying new restaurants and spending time with the people I love!

AMSA has opened my eyes to the field of medicine as a whole. Too often, we get focused on our own niche and forget to see the broader picture. AMSA has given me opportunities to interact with people interested in different specialties and with different perspectives. It has provided me with opportunities to learn from and talk to a broad range of physicians, and has helped me develop my leadership skills.

My husband and I love to go hiking and play frisbee golf. Chattanooga has some awesome courses and beautiful trails!

I began getting involved with AMSA during my M1 year. I have always been interested in public health, and through AMSA I have been able to expand my knowledge of public health issues. AMSA has helped me grow as a leader and a lifelong learner!

I enjoy yoga, watching movies (especially documentaries!), cooking, and spending time with my friends and family.

I got involved with AMSA because of my interest in public health and inequity. I think it’s so important to continue learning about public health issues and to discuss them with my peers and AMSA is a great way to learn together and from each other!

I like to run, bike and be outside! If I have to be inside, hopefully it’s because I am watching The Office.
