The University of Tennessee College of Medicine in collaboration with Regional One Health are in a dynamic growth period. We envision the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center to be an innovator and a Center of Excellence in the Southeast. The Department of Anesthesiology is a key player in this process by being a collaborative partner in high quality clinical care, financial sustainability for the benefit of our patients and excelling in medical education and research. Being new to the department, I am proud to be associated with such an outstanding group of clinical providers, motivated educators and a residency group that is motivated and growing. The mission of the Department of Anesthesia in the College of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is to provide an environment that will foster:
