Our goal is to conduct clinical trials to test new cancer treatment to improve patient care and outcomes.
John O. Schorge, MD, FACS, is the program co-leader for clinical research. Dr. Schorge is a nationally renowned gynecologic oncologist who serves as Professor and Chair of OB/GYN in the College of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. He is a principal investigator within the GOG-Foundation and NRG Oncology with 20+ years of experience as a clinical trialist. Dr. Schorge has authored more than 120 original research papers and is one of the editors for the internationally bestselling 1500+ page text/atlas Williams’ Gynecology.
Dr. Schorge received his medical degree from Vanderbilt. He was an OB/GYN resident and gynecologic oncology fellow at Mass General-Brigham/Harvard Medical School. He subsequently completed proficiency training in techniques of patient-oriented research from the UT-Houston School of Public Health.
