Concern for a Student
Academic Success has a primary goal of promoting student progress in the various programs offered by the UTHSC. It offers a variety of services to facilitate learning and enhance student performance.
All conferences with Academic Success staff are completely confidential. All services provided by Academic Success staff are free of charge to students. Academic Success also maintains a library available for student use and checkout.
The Office of Campus Recreation is the focal point for recreational opportunities at UTHSC. Our staff believes that physical activity plays a vital role in the development and maintenance of a "healthy, well-adjusted" individual. The diverse activities and programs offered by The Office of Campus Recreation are a means to educate participants, provide opportunities for group and individual competition, provide opportunities for social and personal interaction between students, provide assessment and guidance in the area of health-related fitness, provide opportunities for spouse and dependent participation, and to provide student leadership opportunities. The Office of Campus Recreation and Student Recreation Center are located at 800 Madison Ave. Room 312.
The mission of Campus Recreation is to plan and promote life-long healthy lifestyle behaviors through active participation in comprehensive recreational, health, and fitness programs.
The Campus Police Department is responsible for the safety and security of the campus and the University community. For more information about campus safety, the campus alert system, and crime prevention, access the Campus Police website.
Campus Safety and Emergency Management supports UTHSC colleges and departments in the development of emergency plans and procedures for a variety of hazards including fires, severe weather, infectious disease, and other emergencies that could adversely affect the health, safety, assets, or operations of the UTHSC community.
