The University of Tennessee Health Science Center Department of Neurology is dedicated to practicing outstanding medical care for patients with neurological diseases, providing comprehensive training of future neurologists and neuroscientists, and making new discoveries through basic and clinical research concerning the cause, diagnosis, and treatment of neurological diseases.
Divisions
Epilepsy Division in the Department of Neurology at UTHSC College of Medicine provides an outstanding patient care, training to the next generation neurologists and clinical neurophysiologists, and innovative translational and clinical research.
Visit the DivisionAs part of our commitment to increase stroke treatments globally, we have created the Mechanical Thrombectomy Training Pathways program to complement the ongoing endeavors of the World Stoke Organization (WSO) in aiding hospitals from low- to middle-income countries (LTMICs) to provide stroke treatments according to the highest standards, via the WSO/Global Stroke Alliance Stroke Center Certification program.

Our faculty provides an exceptional outpatient care to patients from general neurology to subspecialty cares including epilepsy, headache treatment, multiple sclerosis, movement disorder, neuromuscular disease, and procedural diagnostic and treatments such as EEG, Nerve Conduction/EMG, Botox treatment, and infusion treatment.
Neurohospitalist
Our Neurology faculty and trainees are providing general neurology inpatient, consultative service at Regional One, Baptist, and VA hospitals in Memphis.
