Stephanie Davenport, DO
Bio
I am excited to be a pediatric GI fellow at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. I grew
up in southern Indiana and obtained my undergrad degrees, BA Criminal Justice and
BS Biochemistry, from IU Bloomington. I went to medical school in the mountains of
Kentucky at University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville,
Kentucky. I did my pediatric residency in South Florida. I have known since I was
little that I wanted to be a pediatrician after my doctor took care of me when I was
4 and diagnosed me with asthmatic bronchitis. It was his caring nature that really
intrigued me about medicine. During residency, I found that I loved inpatient medicine,
outpatient medicine, procedures, acute issues, chronic issues, and patients of all
ages. Pediatric GI really fit that bill for me. In my free time, I enjoying reading
for fun, being outside, traveling, baking and going to amusement parks especially
Disney.
