Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program
Training the Next Generation of Plastic Surgeons
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program is a six-year ACGME-accredited training program dedicated to educating residents in the art and science of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Our mission is to develop highly skilled, compassionate, and academically driven surgeons who are prepared to lead the future of our specialty.
Residents receive comprehensive training in the resection, repair, replacement, reconstruction, and restoration of form and function of the integument and its underlying anatomic systems, including the craniofacial structures, breast, trunk, upper and lower extremities, perineum, and oropharynx. Through a carefully structured curriculum, residents gain broad exposure to the full spectrum of plastic surgery, including reconstructive, aesthetic, craniofacial, hand, burn, microsurgery, and pediatric plastic surgery.
Training takes place across a diverse network of clinical sites throughout Memphis, providing residents with experience in complex tertiary care, trauma, burn surgery, pediatric care, veterans' health, and private practice settings. Our faculty are committed to providing exceptional surgical education, individualized mentorship, and graduated autonomy in a collaborative learning environment.
We are excited to welcome applicants who are passionate about plastic surgery, innovation, service, scholarship, and excellence in patient care.
