Chattanooga Emergency Medicine Curriculum
Our three-year program is designed to prepare residents to practice Emergency Medicine in any environment in the world.
PGY-1 year is designed to build a strong foundation in EM and features multiple ICU rotations and dedicated time for Anesthesia, Ultrasound, and EKG training.
PGY-2 / PGY-3 years allow residents to hone clinical skills, publish original research, and develop administrative skills. Adult and pediatric EM shifts are combined in the final two years of training to provide continued exposure to variable disease processes. Resident training is divided into 13 blocks:
