About James:

I was born in Columbia City, Indiana but spent the majority of my life growing up in rural Georgia. I attended the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs) for undergrad and attended Mercer University School of Medicine for medical school. I completed my internal medicine residency here in Chattanooga and ultimately wanted to continue my training at Erlanger to be a GI doctor. 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, watching UGA football, hiking, camping, fishing, reading, and watching indie movies. I am a self-proclaimed foodie and love trying new cuisines. I also enjoy traveling when time permits.

About Nancy:

I was born in India and raised in various parts of metro Atlanta. I have a younger sister who is ten years my junior. I completed my undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at Augusta University and went on to earn my medical degree from PCOM Georgia. I moved to Chattanooga for my Internal Medicine residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and am now continuing my training here as a gastroenterology fellow.

Outside of work, I enjoy dancing, hiking, trying new restaurants, and traveling—especially with my husband, a Neurologist, whom I met in college and married during residency.

About Anika:
My name is Anika Noorali, and I'm originally from Peachtree City, Georgia. I completed my undergraduate studies at Emory University and earned my medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. I went on to complete my internal medicine residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I also served as chief resident. I'm thrilled to be starting my gastroenterology fellowship at Erlanger. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and practicing yoga.

About Brendan:

I grew up on the West Coast before attending high school in metro Atlanta. I attended Georgia Tech for undergrad before earning my medical degree from Wake Forest. I completed my internal medicine residency and chief year at the Medical College of Georgia before coming to Chattanooga for GI fellowship.

 

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, working out, going on hikes and trying new restaurants.

About James:
I grew up in Columbia, South Carolina, where I stayed for both undergrad and medical school at The University of South Carolina. I completed my training in internal medicine here at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga and am thrilled to continue my training in Chattanooga as a gastroenterology fellow. Outside of work, my fiancée and I love trying new recipes in the kitchen and exploring new restaurants. In my free time, I love to golf, play tennis, run, lift weights, and go on ski trips. I am a fanatic for college football and live for the fall season (Go Gamecocks!). Apart from football, I also tend to nerd out on history and movies, and can often be found listening to podcasts on either topic.
