Off Campus Access
Getting started:
Get started from the library homepage https:/uthsc.edu/library to access any electronic resource anywhere and anytime. You will be redirected to a login page for your valid NetID and password as current UTHSC faculty, staff, students, and residents. Your access privilege is checked directly against the campus directory upon each login.
Note: If you are accessing the library’s website from the VA or the Med, you will need to login with NetID and password as these are off-campus of UTHSC network. If you need password assistance, call (901) 448-2222 or check this page for password management.
Who else is eligible?
Emeritus faculty and retired faculty who have volunteer or adjunct faculty appointments are eligible and should already have access.
Who is NOT eligible?
Sponsored NetIDs, alumni, and retirees are NOT eligible for off-campus library access.
Databases requiring login everywhere:
Some databases require login from on campus and off campus, such as UpToDate and Micromedex.
Restricted Access:
Some e-journals are restricted to only on campus access from certain IPs. Check Restricted Access List.
Who needs to request Library Registration?
Normally, current UTHSC faculty, staff and students do not need to register with the
library for off-campus access. Please only continue with form below if you are having
problems with off-campus access and are currently affiliated with UTHSC, or if you
are brand new to UTHSC and need to immediately check out print materials.
