Research
All our faculty are involved in clinical research in their special areas of interest. A pooled bibliography in excess of 150 publications support our division’s research interests.
Scholarly Activity and Quality Improvement
Fellows are expected to participate and complete research projects based on personal interests and availability. The program provides six months of protected time for trainees to conduct clinical or basic science research. Fellows will choose a faculty mentor early in their first year in the area of research they wish to pursue. Fellows are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts for national meetings and papers for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
Presentation in Regional/ National Meetings
Multiple opportunities are available for fellows to present their work in regional and national meetings. Each fellow has designated amount of fund for this purpose. Additional funding is provided on case by case basis based on merits of presentation. Our fellows have presented regularly in regional and national meetings.
Additionally, ILD/ Sarcoidosis and CF program sponsors one-two fellow each per year to travel to national meetings related to above subjects.
