Inactivity Reminder
Recent clinical trials show us that health benefits can be gained by simply reducing long periods of inactivity. Need a reminder to be more active throughout the day? The following apps can be put on your iPhone or android and has an alarm reminder for you to get up and move. This is especially useful if you spend a lot of time at your desk or just being still. We recommend you set the alarm to remind you at least once an hour to get up and move for a minute or two.
Walking with UT Health Science Center
The walking groups meet in the Spring and Fall when the weather is agreeable for walking. A staff member from the Fitness Center will meet participants at two different sites: Health Sciences Park Pavilion; and 910 Madison Bldg Lobby. These are walk at your own pace groups and we walk for about 30 minutes.
