Why I Chose OB/GYN: I first got interested in women's health/primary care when my mom was diagnosed with
breast cancer just as I was starting medical school. I stuck around because no other
specialty let me spend so many special moments and journeys with patients and I loved
the daily variety of doing this job - it's the perfect balance of preventative medicine,
adrenaline forward situations, and surgeries/procedures - a day in this life usually
gives you all 3 and I love that.
OB/GYN Areas of Interest: I want to be a strong generalist that can take care of the needs of a smaller, potentially
more remote community. I'm fascinated with high-risk obstetrics and I'm passionate
about all women having access to the best obstetric/preventative care and the full
spectrum of family planning services. I also love teaching and can't wait to have
medical students and get them stoked on women's health.
Hobbies: I love rock climbing in Chattanooga and try to do a few days on the trail once a
year backpacking. I also play guitar; my Tennessee music phase so far has been fast
blue grass/country. Also love to bake when I have the time..

Why I Chose OB/GYN: I really love the variety that OBGYN has to offer. You can be in the OR, clinic and

Medical School: Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences
Why I Chose OB/GYN: I did not know I wanted to do OB/GYN when I started medical school, but after my OB/GYN
rotation, I knew I had found my perfect fit. Finding a specialty that allowed for
surgery in the mornings, clinic in the afternoon, all while delivering babies in between
is so exciting. And having the opportunity to take care of women across their lifespan
while being and educator and advocate made it that much more appealing to me.
OB/GYN Areas of Interest: So far generalist, but I love the obstetrical niche so we will see!
Hobbies: Hiking, fishing, brunching, binge watching Netflix.
