Resident Wellness
MedPeds residents are involved with both the Internal Medicine/MedPeds Wellness Committee and the Pediatrics Wellness Committee! Both wellness committees host in hospital and out of hospital events each month!
MedPeds PROuD
The Internal Medicine Pediatrics Professional Development (Med Peds PROuD) curriculum was developed based on resident feedback to combat burnout during residency through workshops led by residency leadership. The topics chosen for the curricula were based on the ACGME program milestones, resident feedback, and existing curricula for early career physicians. Recognizing the isolation that can develop in residency, the sessions are divided by class to promote community building, peer mentoring and a safe space to delve deeper into topics pertinent to their postgraduate year of training. One member of program leadership is assigned to each class and will be their facilitator for these sessions throughout their residency. The sessions occur quarterly with two sessions integrated into the Med Peds Noon Conference schedule and two sessions hosted in a faculty members’ homes.
