Third Year

Andrew Corson, MD
BioDr. Corson, “Andy,” was born and raised in Millville, New Jersey. He graduated from
Stockton University with an undergraduate degree in criminal justice and then attended
Thomas Jefferson University’s postbaccalaureate pre-professional program. Prior to completing medical school at St. George’s University, Andrew was an EMT
for four years and a paramedic for three. He completed his pediatric residency at
Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. In his free time, he enjoys
going to Shelby Farms with his girlfriend and their chocolate lab, impatiently awaiting
the release of the next Jack Carr book, and exploring different breweries and barbeque
restaurants in the area.

Monica Lehman, MD
BioDr. Lehman grew up in Memphis, TN. She graduated with honors from the University of
Alabama with an undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology. She returned to Memphis
following graduation. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Tennessee
Health Science Center. She completed her general pediatric residency and excited to
continue as a pediatric cardiology fellow at the University of Tennessee Health Science
Center. In her free time, she enjoys weight training, trying new restaurants with
her friends and spending time with her husband and dog.

Menachem Rimler, MD
BioMenachem was born and raised in Queens, NY, where he attended Touro University and
received his undergraduate degree in Biology. He then moved to Baltimore, MD to attend
medical school at the University of Maryland. Menachem returned to NY to complete
his Pediatrics Residency at Westchester Medical Center and is very excited to be in
Memphis, TN, completing a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at UTHSC! In his spare time
Menachem enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, listening to podcasts,
going on road trips, and working on as many house projects as he can find.
Second Year

Megha Jain, MD

Faith Pena, MD
BioFaith Peña is from Calhoun, Louisiana. She completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry
at Centenary College of Louisiana. Faith later obtained her medical degree and completed
a pediatrics residency at Louisiana State University Health Center in Shreveport.
She is looking forward to fellowship training in pediatric cardiology. In her spare
time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son as well as kayaking, painting,
and traveling.

Sharvari Shyam, MD
Bio
Dr. Shyam was born and raised in Bangalore, India, where she graduated from medical
school at BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences. Subsequently, she moved to the
United States to pursue her Pediatric Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx.
During her training in New York, she developed a keen interest in Pediatric Cardiology
and is now thrilled to embark on her fellowship at UTHSC!
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Shyam has a passion for traveling and has explored
13 states in the last few years alone, with more adventures on the horizon. She also
enjoys spending time with friends, going on road trips, and trying new restaurants.
While a day out in Central Park was enjoyable, she is now eagerly looking forward
to discovering what Memphis has to offer!
First Year

John Jackson Taylor, MD
BioDr. Taylor was born and raised in Nashville, TN. He attended the University of Richmond
(Go Spiders!) where he majored in Leadership Studies and Spanish. After his undergraduate
studies he moved to Jackson, MS, where he earned a MS in Biomedical Sciences at UMMC
and transitioned to a research assistant position at LeBonheur with the Healthy Lifestyles
Clinics prior to medical school at UTHSC. In his free time, he enjoys spending time
with his wife, Katie, their daughter, Emily, and their dog, Pepper. Jackson couldn’t
be happier to continue his medical career in Memphis and at Le Bonheur!

Eryn Vargo, MD
BioDr. Vargo was born and raised in Tucson, AZ, and is now very excited to be in Memphis!
Her hobbies include singing, outdoor activities, and fitness (especially Spartan races
and Tough Mudders). Eryn made the move to Memphis with her wonderful husband and 2
adorable kitties. They are all looking forward to exploring Memphis!
