Office of Regulatory Support
The Office of Regulatory Support provides centralized administration and serves as the primary point of contact for research compliance related issues. Our office provides an interface between faculty, staff, students, and campus regulatory committees. We foster and safeguard the institution's culture of regulatory adherence through:
-
- Consultation during protocol preparation;
- Pre-reviewing protocols, consent forms, and other compliance-related documents; identifying modifications that need to be made and assisting responsible parties in making those modifications before approval is sought from appropriate regulatory entities;
- Preparing documents necessary to maintain accreditations and assurances if already obtained and securing assurances and accreditations when needed;
- Facilitating conflict resolution on regulatory related issues;
- Offering and coordinating research regulatory related education and training; and
- Conducting post-approval monitoring to ensure approved procedures, agreements and arrangements are followed appropriately.
Whether you are new to research at the UT Health Science Center or have been engaged in it for some time, the Research Regulatory Checklist will help you meet regulatory and safety training requirements for different research activities.
Complete the checklist to learn about the forms, safety training, and activities you must complete before beginning research projects at the UT Health Science Center. Documentation of safety training is needed by different research regulatory committees and offices.
