General and Acute Care Surgery
The Section of General and Acute Care Surgery within the Division of General Surgery covers elective and general surgery cases across five hospitals in the greater Memphis area. Our focus is fairly broad from emergency general surgery to elective advanced laparoscopic cases. Resident teaching in these areas as well as quality clinical care are our main focuses. We also are active in research in several areas including access to care and outcomes research.
The ACS team is available 24/7 to quickly serve a patient population that requires timely assessment and prompt intervention.
