Hematology Oncology Society Interest Group (HOSIG)
The UTHSC Hematology Oncology Student Interest Group (HOSIG) is dedicated to promoting the study of Hematology and Oncology, as well as providing research, shadowing, and learning opportunities to students interested in the field. We offer many ways to get involved:
- Informational lectures with current Heme/Onc physicians, fellows, and researchers
- Networking events with students, residents, and fellows interested in the field, including informal “Fellows Over Coffee” sessions
- Volunteer activities such as the St. Jude Marathon weekend and Relay for Life events
- Upperclassmen-led info sessions regarding research opportunities at UTHSC
We welcome attendance of all students at HOSIG events and ideas for further promoting the mission of HOSIG on the UTHSC campus. If you’re interested in getting involved in HOSIG at UTHSC, please reach out to current Co-President Dagny Vaughn (MS4) at dagmvaug@uthsc.edu or Co-President Phil Morgan (MS4) at pmorgan4@uthsc.edu.
