How easy is it to get an appointment?

We are here to help you, and it’s very easy to get an appointment by calling our office at 901.866.8630. Our staff strives to get our patients seen as quickly as possible. Same- day appointments may be possible. or you will be scheduled within the next few days, if not the next day.

Is this outpatient-only treatment?

We provide outpatient treatment in our clinic, and we can also provide acute medical stabilization (detox) hospital care at St. Francis Hosptial. If a patient needs a higher level of extended care, we can make referrals to appropriate facilities.

If I have insurance, what will I be responsible for paying in the office?

Only what is required by the insurance for specialist copayment. Usually there is a primary care or general office copay, then there is a specialist copay required by each insurance. We are considered a specialist, so the specialist copay is the patient’s responsibility at the time of service while in our office. There is no copay with TennCare.

What is the time span spent in the office for an appointment? How often will I come for an appointment?

At each appointment you will be triaged and speak briefly with a case manager to see if any assistance is needed. Our patients are offered group or individual therapy, have a consultation with a physician at each visit, and will have an opportunity to meet with our psychiatric nurse practitioner, if needed. We are open 8:00 am-4:30 pm. We try to accommodate specific time needs for appointments due to work, childcare, or other issues. Once a patient has been stabilized, normally they are seen once a month going forward, unless there is reason to have more frequent appointments for compliance of treatment.

Can patient forms be downloaded and completed prior to the first appointment?

Yes, please call 901.866.8630, and the new patient packet will be emailed before your first visit.
