Time-Sensitive Evaluation of Policies Affecting Health Behaviors and Chronic Disease Risk (R01 CT Not Allowed) establishes an accelerated review/award process to support time-sensitive research to evaluate a new policy or program likely to influence diet, physical activity, sleep, ad/or weight thus holding the potential to lower rates of chronic diseases, particularly in populations at risk for health disparities. 2025 Application Due Dates: May 9, June 10, July 9, August 7, September 9, October 9, November 7, December 9 The New Investigator Gateway Awards for Collaborative T1D Research (R03 CT Not Allowed) promote extramural basic and clinical biomedical research improving the understanding of the mechanisms underlying disease leading to improved preventions, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetes, digestive, and kidney diseases. Letter of Intent Due Dates: May 26, 2025, and February 6, 2026 The Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant (R21 CT Optional) solicits applications for research projects that identify, examine, and address the ethical, legal, and social implications of advances in genomics for individuals, families, communities, groups, institutions, and society. 2025 Application Due Dates: June 17 and October 20 The NCI Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00 CT Req.) is designed for candidates proposing to serve as the lead investigator of an independent clinical trial, a clinical trial feasibility study, or a separate ancillary clinical trial as part of their research and career development.
